In industrial IoT, significant divestitures signal that the "build-everything" era is nearing its end. In telecom, fiber, satellites, and edge are no longer optional add-ons but survival infrastructure. Edge computing is rapidly becoming tactical, rather than visionary, and the hardware/software cost inflection point is becoming visible. In autonomous vehicles, commercial ambition collided head-on with public trust and regulatory risk.

Here's my unambiguous take: if you're not ruthlessly pruning your IIoT roadmap in the next 90 days, you'll be outinvested. If you're a mid-tier telco still chasing broad 5G/6G ambitions without a vertical advantage, you're going to lose margin. If you believe edge computing is still about unlimited upside and no downside, you're about to get squeezed. And if you're in AVs expecting a smooth ramp, prepare for realignment.
